Totem Hors Série

After developing several series that featured our instruments in many ways to many audiences, Totem Off Series showed up as a way of presenting a performer playing one of our new musical instrument along with other performers, either using their own instruments or the instruments we created.

Over the years Totem Off Series presented Jean-François Laporte performing in RUST (duet with Benjamin Thigpen), Inner Island (duet with Virgile Abela) and Trio LBB, an experimental free noise jazz trio with Carlo Barbagallo (guitar) and Emilio Bernè (drums). The common links between all Totem Off Series events are our own strange and fascinating new instruments.

This series is really about collaboration between creators brought together in a land where the unexpected reigns. Mixing conventional musical instruments with our own original noisemaking instruments really creates a one-of-a-kind sound experience, quite different from any of our other series.
