We had the pleasure of welcoming the students from Marcelo Wanderley’s class (McGill) to present in detail our research on the Totem Orchestra and the development of our invented instruments. The aim of this meeting was to introduce them to our creative process, the challenges of hybrid instrument making and performance practices, as well as the possibilities for concrete involvement within Totem.

This initiative marks the beginning of a collaboration between McGill's research centre and Productions Totem Contemporain. It aims to build a bridge between academic research and the professional world, in particular by offering students the opportunity to do internships within our organisation, participate in research-creation projects, and contribute to the development of new artistic practices around our instruments.
