We are very proud to announce that the Totem Paramirabo concert has won the Prix Opus for Concert of the Year in the Musiques actuelle and Electroacoustic category at the 29th Prix Opus Gala of the Conseil québécois de la musique !

This coproduction by Paramirabo and Productions Totem contemporain, presented on April 25, 2025 at the MMR Hall of CIRMMT in codiffusion with Groupe Le Vivier, offered an unprecedented encounter between the Table de Babel, an invented instrument by Totem contemporain, and the soloists of the Paramirabo ensemble. 

The program featured commissioned works by composers Julie Delisle, Geneviève Ackerman, Corie Rose Sumah, Zosha Di Castri, and Catherine Young, each exploring in their own way the vitality and musical power of the seven instruments at play. We warmly thank these composers for their exceptional contribution to this project.

This recognition highlights the richness of this unique collaboration between giant wind machines and contemporary chamber music !
