We are now at the end of the bi-annual contest which ended on December 18th at midnight. We want to thank all the participants who submitted their compositions for this first edition of the contest. It was a unique opportunity to explore the sounds of Totem instruments and to compose an original work. Our jury is looking forward to discovering your original creations.

The finals of the contest will be presented in collaboration with the Groupe de recherche sur la médiatisation du son (GRMS) during the concert La Grande Nuit GRMS at the Montreal / New Music Festival (MNM). The concert will take place on February 25, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am at the Agora Hydro-Québec, Cœur des Sciences, UQÀM, and will be part of the program of La Nuit Blanche à Montréal.

The concert La Grande Nuit GRMS 2023 is the result of a partnership between GRMS, SMCQ, matralab and Hexagram. This last phase will allow the selection of the grand prize winners from among the finalist works! This is an event not to be missed.
